These dies extrude shapes that can be used to weave baskets out of clay strips. The dies extruder strips that are three, four, or five strands wide. They fit in Steel Pottery 4" clay extruders.
The patterns on the die are identical, so you can produce strips to weave faster.
The dies are available individually or as a set.
Extrusion Dimensions: The three strand die makes strips that are 3/4" x 1/4". The four strand die makes strips that are 3/4" x 1". The five strand die makes strips that are 1 1/4" x 1/4".
Die Dimensions: Each die is 3 7/8" in diameter and about 10mm thick.
If you happen to also have a 2" handheld extruder, you might find these basket weave dies for 2" extruders useful. With them, you can practice weaving baskets without cleaning the large extruder.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
