This is a set of two dies: one die extrudes the Olive Dish shape, the other extrudes a matching lid. An optional cutter creates an shape to close off the ends of the dish. The dies fit in 4" square NorthStar or TA Metal Works clay extruders.
Extrusion Dimensions: The extruded tray is about 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. The wall thickness is about 7 mm. The lid is a little bit wider than the the dish, so your fingers can grab it.
Die Dimensions: The die is 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" and 1" tall. The low wall around the top of the lid die prevents clay from oozing out sideways, as sometimes happens with square extruders. The dish die omits the wall to make the dish shape as large as possible. The dish die has a brace to prevent the middle from bending under the force of extrusion.
The corresponding cutter is optional. It can be useful to cut a shape to close off the ends of the tray. The cutter is 3/4" tall.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
