This die extrudes an octagonal shape with a 6mm wall.
The die fits in most 4" square extruders including North Star, Bailey, TA Metal Works, and the Amazon generic extruder.
Extrusion Dimensions: The inner width of the extruded shape is 70mm (~2 3/4") and the outer width is 82mm (~3 1/4"). The inner corners of the octagon are rounded to prevent the clay from splitting during extrusion.
Die Dimensions: The die is 4 3/4" x 4 1/4" and 1" tall
The corresponding cutter is optional. It can be useful to cut a base that exactly matches the extruded shape. The cutter is 3/4" tall.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
