This die extrudes a hexagonal shape with a 6mm wall. It fits in 4" square North Star and TA Metal Works clay extruders.
Extrusion Dimensions: The inner width of the extruded shape is 60mm (~2 3/8") and the outer width is 72mm (~2 7/8"). The inner corners of the hexagon are rounded to prevent the clay from splitting during extrusion. The low wall around the top of the die prevents clay from oozing out sideways, as sometimes happens with square extruders.
Die Dimensions: The die is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 1" tall
The corresponding cutter is optional. It can be useful to cut a base that exactly matches the extruded shape. The cutter is 3/4" tall.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
