These dies extrude flat narrow strips that can be woven into baskets. The dies come in two widths: 3/4" and 1 1/4". Each die makes three strips at the same time to speed your basket making. The dies fit in most 4" square wall-mounted clay extruders including: NorthStar, Bailey, TA Metal Works, and the Amazon generic model.
The low wall around the top of the die prevents clay from oozing out sideways, as sometimes happens with square extruders.
Extrusion Dimensions: The narrow strip is 3/4" x 1/4" and the wide strip is 1 1/4" x 1/4".
Die Dimensions: The die is 4 3/4" x 4 1/4" and 1/2" thick.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
