You can use this die to make a butter dish. It extrudes the lid and base at the same time. It fits in NorthStar and TA Metal Works 4" square clay extruders.
Extrusion Dimensions: The butter dish lid extrusion is approximately 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" tall and the wall thickness is about 1/4". The base extrusion is approximately 3 1/2" wide and 1/4" thick.
Die Dimensions: The die is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 1/4" thick.
The bracing prevents the die from bending under the stress of extrusion.
The cutter is optional. It cuts an endcap for the butter dish lid.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
