Square Beaded-Square Clay Extrusion Die

This die extrudes a square shape with a beaded feature at each corner. The inner shape is a smooth circle. It fits in NorthStar and TA Metal Works 4" square clay extruders.
Extrusion Dimensions: The outside square is approximately 3" x 3". The inner diameter is 2 1/2". The minimum wall width is approximately 1/4".
Die Dimensions: The die is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 1" tall.
The wall around the top of the die helps prevent clay from oozing out sideways, as sometimes happens with square extruders.
Base Cutter: The corresponding cutter is optional. It can be useful to cut a base that exactly matches the extruded shape. The cutter is 3/4" tall.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
