This die extrudes a 2" tube to fill your handheld extruder.
The die opening is a wee bit smaller than a handheld extruder. It will probably be helpful to wet both the outside of the clay tube and the inside of your extruder to help the clay slide into the handheld.
Great way to fill your handheld in a jiffy and with fewer air pockets.
The die fits on a Peter Pugger pugmill. Please use bolts at least 3/4" long to attach the die to the end of the pugmill. (Bolts are not included). The die is to be mounted with the lettering facing out.
When using a die on the outlet of a pugmill, slow down the extrusion rate to lower the pressure on the clay.
Extrusion dimensions: The extrusion diameter is 50mm.
Die Dimensions: The die is 4 1/2" in diameter and 8mm thick.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
