Many potters have a handheld extruder but use it only to make coils and handles. Here's a die that expands the range of what is possible to make with a handheld extruder.
This die extrudes a fluted hollow shape. It can be use to make bud vases, desk organizers, or ... whatever you imagine. The die screws onto the extruder in place of the endcap.
The knurled outer surface gives a better grip when putting the die on or taking it off.
This die is called "Full bore" because it extrudes a shape that is about as large as possible with a handheld extruder.
This die is compatible with the Scott Creek, Shimpo / Nidec, and Milwaukee handheld extruders.
Extrusion Dimensions: The extruded shape has an outside diameter of 2 1/4" and an inside diameter of 1 5/8".
Die Dimensions: The die is about 2 3/4" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
