This die extrudes a shape that is scalloped on the outer edge. The inner shape is a smooth circle. It fits in 4" square Bailey clay extruders.
Extrusion Dimensions: The inner diameter of the extruded shape is 68mm (2 3/4") and the maximum width of the outer shape is 83mm (3 1/4"). The minimum wall thickness is 4mm (~1/6").
The low wall around the top of the die prevents clay from oozing out sideways, as sometimes happens with square extruders.
Die Dimensions: Overall dimensions are 4 3/4" square and 1" tall.
Base Cutter: The corresponding cutter is optional. It can be useful to cut a base that exactly matches the extruded shape. The cutter is 3/4" tall.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.

This die was very easy to use and creates a beautiful texture with so many possibilities! I found the design easier to use than Bailey’s own design. I hope there is plan circle tube die coming!
