This die extrudes three parts of a casserole dish: the walls, handles, and feet. The dish wall height is 4" (before firing).
This die works with the Bailey 5" square clay extruder.
Extrusion Dimensions: The height of the wall for the casserole dish is 4" (as extruded). The other extrusions are for the handle and feet of the dish.
A similar design was originally made by Old Ash Artisans and is modified and reproduced here by permission. You can watch their YouTube video on how to use the die.
Die Dimensions: The die is 5" x 6" and 1/4" thick.
The low wall around the top of the die prevents clay from oozing out sideways, as sometimes happens with square extruders.

The die and cutter are 3D-printed using PLA filament. PLA is a plastic made from starch (not petrochemicals) and is compostable in industrial composters.
It is the same material used to make compostable eating utensils.

Care information
To clean, remove as much clay as possible. Let remaining clay dry completely. Soak in water and brush with soft-bristled brush. Not dishwasher safe.
